Returned to winning form over this course and distance on 10 October, giving him a clear attraction with the same standard going again. That success came in Class 6 from a rating of 65, so a 10lb rise and the move into Class 5 demand more. However, his course-and-distance win in March came in Class 4 from today's mark of 75, showing this rating is within his compass. Dylan Cunha's four winners from 18 runners in the past fortnight add encouragement that the yard is sending out horses in good form.

Finished fifth at Newcastle on 12 October, but was beaten just a length and three quarters over six furlongs on Standard, making that an encouraging effort. He stays in Class 5 from a mark of 74, 1lb lower than at Newcastle, giving him a little more room to manoeuvre. His third over six furlongs at Thirsk in July 2025 also offers encouragement that this trip is within his compass. Tom Marquand arrives in strong form, with 13 winners from 51 rides during the past fortnight, adding to the appeal.

A narrow course-and-distance second on 3 October followed successive six-furlong wins at Lingfield and Wolverhampton, giving him a strong recent all-weather profile. That latest effort came in today's Class 5 on standard going, so he has already shown he can be competitive under these conditions. His mark of 74 is 5lb above his latest winning rating at Wolverhampton and 2lb above his Southwell second, asking for another step forward. John Egan has ridden 30 winners at Southwell, bringing plenty of experience of the venue to a horse in good form.

Her Class 5 success over six furlongs and two yards at Doncaster in June gives her a sound starting point back in this grade. She could not match that at Newcastle on 5 September, finishing seventh over six furlongs on Standard, beaten six and a quarter lengths. Today's mark of 73 is 2lb lower than at Newcastle, while the drop from Class 4 makes this a less demanding assignment. Jason Watson brings plenty of Southwell experience, with 31 course winners, which is a useful positive as she returns from 51 days off.

His seven-furlong win at Thirsk in June came in Class 5 on good ground, and returning to that grade gives him something to work with. September brought two disappointing efforts on heavy ground, including tenth at Ayr on 29 September, beaten 24 and three quarter lengths. Today's Standard conditions offer a change from heavy, although that switch alone does not establish that he will recapture his earlier form. The drop of a furlong to six is supported by his April third at Pontefract over this distance on good to soft.

Won over five furlongs at Beverley in August and now runs from 72, 3lb above her rating for that success, so the mark asks a little more. Her June victory over six furlongs at Lingfield gives reassurance about today's distance, despite her more recent success coming over shorter. She needs to improve on September's ninth at Bath, where she was beaten four and a quarter lengths over five and a half furlongs. Her April tenth over this course and distance, beaten 11 lengths on Standard, leaves a question about the return here.

His third at Chepstow on 6 August, beaten two and three quarter lengths over six furlongs, showed he could compete in this Class 5 company. He remains on 71, the rating for that effort, although it is 8lb above the mark he won from at Chepstow in June. He returns after 81 days off, and must transfer that good-to-firm turf form to standard going, having finished fifth at Wolverhampton in April. Billy Loughnane's ten winners from 72 rides in the past fortnight offer encouragement on the jockey front for his return to action.

Successive course-and-distance wins on 22 September and 6 October give her an obvious claim, with standard going again providing familiar conditions for this assignment. She handled the move from Class 6 to Class 5 for the second of those successes, strengthening the case that her recent revival has substance. A further 4lb rise to 65 asks more of her now, but she has earned that increase through her performances here. Michael Appleby's eight winners from 23 runners in the past fortnight provide another positive as she bids to complete the hat-trick.

His second over six furlongs at Wolverhampton on 21 September, beaten a length, gives him a credible chance back at that trip. He was well below that level over seven furlongs there on 13 October, finishing fifth and beaten eleven and a quarter lengths. Returning to six furlongs and the same rating of 62 as for his September second offers encouragement, although he steps up from Class 6. Kieran O'Neill brings extensive Southwell experience, with 85 course winners, which is a useful asset as he seeks to recapture that September form.
