Sixth over this course and distance in September, he needs a better effort to get involved in another Class 6 contest. His July win at Wolverhampton came over six furlongs and 20 yards on Standard going, showing he can be competitive at this level on the all-weather. Today's mark of 55 is 3lb above his rating for that success, so he has a little more to do on these terms. His June third over five furlongs at Chepstow offers encouragement that he can also make an impact over today's shorter distance.

Has finished sixth over this course and distance on both October starts, most recently beaten three and a quarter lengths on 22 October. Those runs came in this grade on Standard going, so he needs to find a little more under the same conditions. His close fourth at Redcar in September offers some encouragement, having finished just a length and a quarter behind the winner. Today's mark of 54 is 29lb below his rating for the Hamilton win in September 2023, though that form is now some way behind him.

Finished second over this course and distance on 28 April, beaten a length and a half on Standard going in this grade. He was also narrowly denied here in January, and both seconds came from today's mark of 52, giving him a persuasive local claim. A 181-day absence adds uncertainty, but he returns to conditions that have already brought out competitive efforts. He is also 19lb below his rating for the Hamilton win in September 2024, leaving scope from a handicapping perspective if he can recapture that level.

Close seconds over five furlongs at Wolverhampton in August and Bath in September give her a solid recent basis for this trip. She failed to reproduce that form at Wolverhampton on 2 October, finishing ninth over the same trip on Standard going. Her mark of 51 is 11lb below her rating for the Brighton success over five and a half furlongs in August 2025. Donagh Murphy has ridden a winner from six mounts in the past fortnight, offering some encouragement from the saddle.

Finished eleventh over six furlongs at Wolverhampton on 29 September, following a tenth over the same trip here, and those efforts leave something to prove. The return to five furlongs offers encouragement, as he won over that distance at Lingfield in March on Standard going. Today's mark of 50 is 9lb below his rating for that success, giving him room to manoeuvre if he can rediscover his spring form. He was also narrowly beaten over five furlongs at Newcastle in March, another competitive effort at today's distance on Standard going.

Finished thirteenth over six furlongs at Wolverhampton on 19 October, having also been unplaced there over the same trip earlier in the month. His third over five and a half furlongs at Bath on 2 September offers more encouragement, although he has not built on it since. The drop of a furlong brings him back to five, where he finished eleventh at Bath on 13 September, so the shorter trip offers no obvious answer. Rose Dawes and Mark Usher have combined for two winners from seven runners here, a small but encouraging sample.

Well held in his two recent Southwell outings, finishing eighth over seven furlongs on 15 October after a seventh over a mile in August. His summer seconds at Nottingham over six furlongs and Newcastle over seven show he can be competitive in this grade, though both came over further. He drops two furlongs from the October run and is 2lb lower on 46, but the shorter trip still asks a question. An eighth over five furlongs at Nottingham in May was less encouraging than his close fourth over that distance at Leicester in June 2025.

Finished ninth over six furlongs at Wolverhampton on 19 October, beaten four and a quarter lengths, so this demands a step forward from him. He finished two and a half lengths ahead of Ten Cuidado there and returns from the same mark of 45. Today's drop of a furlong takes him back to the course and distance where he finished fourth in September, albeit beaten 12 lengths in Class 4. Scott Dixon brings extensive course experience to the task, having sent out 126 winners here from 1,679 runners.

Seventh over this course and distance on 6 October, beaten three and three quarter lengths, he needs more from the same mark of 43. His third here on 4 January, beaten a length and a half over five furlongs on standard going, shows these conditions can suit. That placing came from 47, so he has some scope if able to recapture his January form. He is also 3lb below his latest winning rating, achieved over six furlongs at Newcastle in November 2025.

Finished ninth over this course and distance on 22 October, beaten five and a quarter lengths in a Class 6 race on Standard going. He remains on 40, which leaves improvement on that effort essential if he is to get more closely involved. A Wolverhampton second over six furlongs in September 2024 shows he can be competitive on Standard going, although that encouragement comes from an older effort. Scott Dixon has considerable experience at Southwell, with 126 winners here, and that familiarity is a useful asset in a modest sprint.
