David Simcock has enjoyed plenty of success at Wolverhampton, a useful positive for his three-year-old gelding in this Class 3 novice. Sixth in a Class 3 contest over a mile and two furlongs at Newbury in May, beaten six lengths on good ground, he needs to build on that effort. He returns after 171 days off over a mile and one and a half furlongs, half a furlong shorter than at Newbury. Fourth over a mile at Saint-Cloud in April, beaten a length and three quarters on good ground, he showed enough to suggest he could make an impact. He then finished fifth at Chantilly in May, four and a quarter lengths behind the winner on very soft ground. After 174 days off, he steps up a furlong and a half to one mile one and a half furlongs, which asks a different question. Edward Greatrex's 57 course wins provide useful experience in the saddle as he tackles this Wolverhampton novice.

Finished seventh over a mile at Kempton on 9 October, beaten 22 and a quarter lengths on Standard/Slow going, leaving her with plenty to find. She goes up a furlong and a half to a mile and a furlong and a half and rises from Class 4 to Class 3, making this a stiffer assignment. Taylor Fisher has ridden 20 winners from 174 mounts here, bringing useful course experience to the saddle for Joe Tickle's mare.

A daughter of Starspangledbanner out of Evita Peron, she has some family encouragement for Flat racing through winning siblings Lajooje and Los Toldos. Clifford Lee has ridden five winners from 33 mounts in the past fortnight and brings plenty of experience of Wolverhampton to the saddle. Other offspring of Starspangledbanner have won on Standard going, offering qualified encouragement for the conditions she encounters in this novice.

Today's mile and a furlong and a half is half a furlong shorter, and she will need to find more to make an impact at this level. Her second over a mile at Kempton on 12 October, beaten a length and a half on Standard/Slow going, gives her a sound platform for this novice. She moves from Class 4 to Class 3 and goes up a furlong and a half, so a little more is required over this longer trip.
